Frequently Asked Questions

As a beginner it is very easy to get started with Sons of the Forest. Simply give your server a unique name,  and join that server from the in-game server browser. Our help team is always available to answer any questions you may have.

Yes the saves are interchangeable. Simply find your save folder in C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest\Saves and upload it your server. Visit our documentation for more information.

Servers include 1 free backup slot. These slots hold a snapshot of your server. You can setup an automated schedule to backup your server every night, or just take backups manually as needed. Backups can be restored with just a few clicks.

Our Game Servers have a 7 day refund policy. If you are not satisfied with the service, you can cancel within the first 7 days and receive a full refund. You must request this within the first month of service for a full refund. Services that have been in use for 1 month or have renewed are not eligible for a refund.

Sons of the Forest servers are able to use 2 full CPU cores at any particular time. On very large saves with lots of structures, having additional cores may be needed for optimal performance. You may order additional cores at checkout, or add/remove them after purchase.
